Private childcare photo sharing with family consent

Photo sharing is off by default. Share classroom moments only with the required consent and authorized family access.

Example shown with demo data

You can…

  • Keep photo sharing off until consent is given.
  • Manage photo consent separately.
  • Tag the children shown in a photo.
  • Check consent before publishing.
  • Limit family access to linked children.
  • View photos privately within Ashby.
  • Share photos in authorized message conversations.
  • Remove photos and attachment references.

Consent belongs in the sharing process

Classroom photos need a different workflow from a public social feed. Ashby checks consent and family access so staff can share with the right people.

Keep classroom moments private

Shared classroom photos belong inside the authorized family experience. They are not published on your center’s public marketing pages, and access to a conversation does not grant unrestricted access to child photos.

How it works

  1. Confirm photo consent before preparing a photo to share.
  2. Identify every child shown and review the intended audience.
  3. Publish only when the photo and audience pass the access checks.

Common questions

Is photo sharing enabled automatically?

No. Photo sharing is off by default and depends on the required consent.

Can every group member see every attachment?

No. Photo access is checked separately from group membership. People need the appropriate access to the children shown.
