Consents and photos
Enrollment is required. Photos are a separate yes or no.
What this is
Consents are about one child. Enrollment (records needed for care) is always required. Photos and extra sharing are separate. Saying no to photos does not undo care.
If you run the program
- When you invite a family on Children, they agree to records for care.
- They are also asked about photos and extra sharing on the same screen (checkboxes). If they leave those unchecked, we do not do those things. They still join.
- They can change photo and extra-sharing later in their Account.
If you are a family
- After you accept an invite, check the consent boxes for that child. Records for care is required; photos and extra sharing are optional.
- Leave photos or extra sharing unchecked if you prefer no. Then Continue. Your Family account still works.
- Change photo and extra-sharing later under Account. Turning photos off stops new photos.
How it works
Each guardian linked to a child decides for themselves. These choices are not the same as the program’s contract with Ashby (Terms, Privacy Policy, and Data Processing Agreement).
- Enrollment / records for care — required. The program cannot skip this and still enroll the child.
- Photos and video — separate. If you say no, new photos of that child stay off.
- Extra sharing — separate. This is not the hosting needed to run Ashby. You can refuse it and still use the account.
