What this is
Prepare public pages for your school and review the saved draft before making it public.
Do this
After signing in, open School settings, then School website.
Choose Edit website. Choose Garden, Classic or Modern, confirm school details, and preview. Check the suggested website address before the first save.
Save draft, then Preview draft. Check every included page.
Choose Review website in Publishing. Review the saved school details, every page (including hidden content) and every image. Confirm each page and both publication checks, then Approve website. Approval keeps the site private; choose Publish website when ready.
Use Take offline when you need to remove the public pages. Your draft stays available.
How it works
- School
- Each location has its own website. Owners, organization admins and directors can edit. Assistant directors can read and preview.
- Design and parents
- Each design works without photos or a logo. School website opens directly in preview. Help opens the guide in a separate tab and keeps your draft in place. Close returns to School settings; saving keeps the workspace open. The Publishing tab contains publication and website address controls. Use Design and Page to explore, then Edit this page to change a section. Simple editing shows only the page. Type directly in headings and paragraphs; edit program cards and questions directly on the page too. Advanced editor opens the blocks, canvas and settings workspace. Pages → Add starter pages fills empty pages without replacing your writing. Schedule a visit opens available school tour times; use Arrange visit times to add times in Enrollment. Without available times, parents can send an inquiry. Confirmation appears on the page, not by email. Parent sign in opens Ashby for existing families.
- Draft
- Saving keeps changes private. Cancel does not save. If another person changes the website, reload before saving again.
- Pages
- Start with Home, About, Programs, Team and Contact. Add up to twelve pages and keep one visible home page. Hidden pages stay out of the public website.
- Published website
- Visitors see the last version you published. Later draft edits do not change it. Search descriptions summarize pages for search results.
- Website address
- Your address follows ashbycare.com/schools/your-school and is reserved on the first save. When Manage address is available, connect a domain your school owns. Ask its administrator to add the ownership, secure-connection and website records shown, then Check connection. Keep the records in place. Disconnect stops that address from opening your site; saved pages stay available.
- Inquiries
- The published Contact page accepts adult contact details only. New inquiries appear in Enrollment and on Home under Needs attention. Reply using those details, then move the family to Waitlist or Admitted. Taking the site offline also closes its form.
- Images
- Use school branding or approved adult staff photos, never pictures of children. Remove an image from both draft and published pages before deleting it. New upload links cannot restore a removed image. Copies saved outside Ashby cannot be recalled.
- Human approval
- Owners, organization admins and directors approve the exact saved website. Approval records who reviewed it and when. Saving again requires a new review. Images must load before approval; every photo must show only permitted adult staff or school branding. Approval and publication are separate actions.
- Public content
- Never include child names, photos, medical details or other private information. Permission to share classroom photos with families does not allow publication on the internet.
